A Day in the Life
The AP Students worked for 40 minutes in the directing/publishing phase of the assignment on making a multimedia project demonstrating the use of cell signaling processes throughout the body. They had a day one planning session and implemented the next class. We viewed the results that were turned in on a Padlet in CANVAS.
I would change the assignment a little bit to have students add more explanation to their videos but I feel like it was a delightful start to the process. I can see that teaching this early on and having students build each quarter on their filming techniques that by the end of the year they could really pull some great stuff together. We are going to have baby bio do the same thing to demonstrate a food web from a specific ecosystem.
